Hey guys, I saw this post on the Alliance GE74 website concerning the minutes of the meeting of the Association Genevoise de l'Airsoft or AGAS. This is the association working to harmonise the status of airsoft in Geneva, including securing the CEPTA gamesite and setting down the rules and regulations of our hobby. I took the liberty of using my little knowledge of French and translated the minutes of the meeting into English. I hope you'll find this helpful.
Cheers!

AGAS General Assembly - Avusy, 05 April 2009
(Originally posted at the AllianceGE74 forum by nro_delta)
1. Welcome remarks by Zed, the president of the Romande Airsoft Federation (FRAS). The meeting started at around 11h00 with a short talk by the FRAS president to explain the future of airsoft in Switzerland.
2. Presentation of the Association's objectives by NRO_Delta, during which he stated that efforts must be made for airsoft to be recognized as a sport and that a better image must be presented to the public.
3. Adoption of the statutes. The statutes were reviewed article by article. Jeff proposed a "mentor" program for young players and other persons who wish to try out airsoft on a short- or long-term basis. After a long discussion on this subject, the following article was added to the statutes:
Article 7a: "Invited" Members
o "Invited" members are adult players or those below 16 who were invited by teams that are members of the AGAS.
o The candidature of "invited" members should be proposed to the Committee by the inviting team, who will put the said members on probationary status.
o The "invited" members will be under the personal responsibility of a team member (he should be someone of a majority age if the "invited" member is a minor).
o The "invited" members must take part in 5 events organized by the AGAS, after which the Committee will pronounce his official membership. Concerning "invited" minors between 12-16 years of age, they cannot be considered as official members until they reach the age of 16. In addition, they cannot take part in any games without the presence of their "mentors".
It was also decided at the meeting that a section will be created to take charge of independent players (lonewolves).
4. Election of the Committee members. Here are the results of the elections:
President: Cameleon (Stryker and Cameleon were the candidates. Cameleon was voted unanimously)
Vice-president: Jeff (El Diablo and Jeff were the candidates. Jeff was voted unanimously)
Délégué Matériel (I don't know what this means. Maybe the logistics officer): Le Doc (unanimously)
Treasurer: Homer (unanimously)
Secretary: NRO_Delta (unanimously)
Team Leaders (TL) and Assistant Team Leaders (ATL):
TAC - Yaco (TL), D'Je (ATL) / Deadsoldiers – Gordon (TL) / Diabolic – Diablo (TL) / GIG – Hitman (TL), Lapin (ATL) / SwatGE – Pitbull (TL), Darkiller (ATL) / Rangers – Custo (TL), Doberman (ATL) / MP – Popov (TL)
5. Election of auditors
Auditors: Popov, OJ and Freddy
6. Fees
The following fees were agreed upon during the meeting:
CHF30 annually for AGAS Team members.
CHF30 annually for independent teams, with an additional CHF20 for persons who do not choose to join an AGAS team in the next three months.
An amount of CHF5 will be paid by "invited" persons at the beginning of each game.
7. Discussions of the Association's program of activities:
Actually, efforts are underway to discuss the CEPTA gamesite, including a meeting in 16 April with local authorities in Onex. In addition, the association is also scouting for another gamesite. Those who know of other possible gamesites are encouraged to inform the Association.
8. Adoption of the following regulations:
AEG velocity (FPS): The committee has fixed the limits, which will be enforced in future events organized by AGAS.
Equipment: It has been decide that each team must furnish a box containing the following items: 4 signboards, 1 chronograph, security tape (similar to what police officers use to seal off an area), a copy of the regulations, and arm bands (red and/or blue and/or green).
9. Adoption of the Association's budget:
Jeff made a first donation of CHF200 to the Association. Homer will take charge of creating an account under the name of AGAS, with bulletin de versements (payment slips) to be used for future payments. Otherwise, a new membership form will be transmitted, along with the payment slips.
10. Other business
The statutes and regulations are still being updated. One point that was not discussed, but noted by Pitt is the suggestion that the personal information submitted to the AGAS secretariat must remain confidential, except in very grave circumstances (modification to article 15).
Cheers!
