Folks,
Some Geneva-based players have said that they find our AEGs too powerful, although they know for a fact that we usually respect the firing distance during our games. However, in a gamesite like CEPTA where the foliage can be quite thick and visibility is poor, there's the possibility of one getting shot by an upgraded rifle at close range, making it quite a painful experience
(but this situation changes by autumn when the trees start shedding off their leaves and winter makes it tougher to find a hiding place, and makes it easy to spot your opponents and shoot them from a safe distance).
In this regard, I was wondering if it would be ideal for us to set aside some money to purchase backup weapons, specifically, the latest versions of automatic electric pistols (AEPs) from Marui. I was quite hesitant to get one for myself when the AEPs came out a few years back because I find the prices (over US$100) quite prohibitive, especially for our teammates who are still students.
But now, Marui has come up with less expensive AEPs like this Desert Eagle (average price is $42).
Details:
Name: Marui Electric M92F
Description: ELECTRIC GUN (4 pcs of AAA Battaries)
Magazine: 15
Length: 217mm
Weight: 300g
Price: US$ 42.00
Why the big difference in the price? Well, it appears that the latest versions use AAA batteries instead of this:
which is used by this type of AEP
Details:
Name: Marui Electic G18C Fixed (Gun only )
Built Material: ABS
Magazine: 30
Length: 201mm
Muzzle Velocity: 200-215 FPS with 0.2g BB
Battery: 7.2V Battery
Package includes: Gun, Magazine, Manual
Weight 678g
Price US$ 103.00
I guess the velocity of 200-215 FPS for the older version is the same as the one for the later version.
Otherwise, we could go back to using springers (I know that those who were with the Tigers during the early stages of the Team remember them well) which are much cheaper. But then, you always have to c-o-ck the pistol every time before you shoot. ;D And when you're facing an opponent with a stock AEG inside a bunker or at close range, you wouldn't want to risk getting eliminated because you still need to c-o-ck your pistol, right? ;D
So what do you think, guys?
