Welcome to the forum of the Black Tigers, an airsoft team made up of Geneva-based Filipinos, and a number of non-Filipino friends who share the same enthusiasm for this hobby. Feel free to post articles or make suggestions/comments (in English, French, and of course,Tagalog). The BLACK TIGERS AIRSOFT TEAM is not a terrorist group (and we are in NO WAY ASSOCIATED with the suicide unit of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam or LTTE in Sri Lanka) and that the weapons that you will see in the pictures are not real firearms, but battery-powered toys better known as Automatic (or Airsoft) Electric Guns, or AEGs.
We are neither a racist nor hate group and any "wargame" that we engage in are merely airsoft-related and not intended for any malicious purposes, only pure fun and games. We came up with the name because our original tiger striped-battle dress uniforms (BDUs) were predominatly black. Hence the name "Black Tigers". In addition, airsoft is purely a "shoot-'em-up" game (if you ever played Counterstrike or Paintball, then you know what I mean) involving AEGs (automatic electric guns) that shoot plastic pellets or BBs. If you want to know more about airsoft, please see the thread on Airsoft and FAQs. We do hope that you will enjoy your visit and, if you live in Geneva and would like to play soldier for at least a weekend afternoon, then don't hesitate to come and join us for a game Cheers! [glow=blue,2,300]The Airsoft Code of Conduct[/glow]
No real guns in the game Anyone's permit to own and/or carry a gun does not extend into the game and inside the playfield. Legitimate, or otherwise, guns must be left inside their owners' vehicles or turned over at the site entrance for safekeeping.
No real weapons Knives and other pointed and bladed instrumenst are for display or utility puropses only. Pulling out or unsheathing any instrument with an intention to yield it as as a weapon will not be allowed.
Treat women and girls as equal to men and boys As such, women and girls are entitled to all the courtesies and signs of respect due any other player in or out of the field. Any player who cannot, or will not, abide by this rule of conduct will be subject to expulsion from game and or venue.
Avoid the use of foul language, display of condescending attitudes and excessively rough behavior These can cause problems in player-to-player relations, and may force the game organizers to eject the offensive individual from the game in order to maintain relative harmony.
Respect and take care of the playsite and its surroundings Do not shoot, or cause damage or injury to: birds, fowl, pet animals, livestock, decorative plants and flower, fruits on trees, planted crops, signs, houses and buildings, cars, or any piece of private property
Return all equipment or property borrowed or otherwise found out in the field Finders should exercise good faith by announcing their find of leaving the item(s) in the care of game organizers or site custodian.
Respect the shooting distance Everyone wants to to have a fun and safe environment for our games. So as much as possible, let's observe the following regulations concerning the shooting distance:
If your AEG's velocity is up to 350fps, one can go semi- and automatic from whatever distance. EXCEPTION: If the target is only around 3 meters away, you can only point your AEG at them and say, "you're out." But if the tries to shoot, you're allowed to open fire. Beyond 350 and up to 400fps, one can go semi- and automatic at a distance of 10 meters from the target. But the same rule above applies if the target is only 3 meters away. Beyond 400 and up to 450 fps, the shooting distance should be a minimum of 20 meters. The 3-meter rule also applies here. Beyond 450fps and up to 550fps, the shooting distance should be a minimum of 30 meters IN SEMI-AUTO. The 3-meter rule also applies here.
Learn, respect and follow the rules These have been set down to give the best possible considerations for safety, realism, playability and fairness.
REMEMBER: Airsoft is all about FUN! ;D
